Prof Sadagopan is the founder Director of the Institute from September 1999. He has taught at two premier educational Institutes in India, namely, the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, (IITK) during 1980 - 1995 and the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, (IIMB) during 1995-1999. Professor Sadagopan is an educator, educational administrator,researcher, consultant and an outstanding communicator - all rolled into one.
He is the author of two textbooks published by Prentice Hall & McGraw Hill. He has dozens of publications to his credit. He consults widely to public, private and even the social sector companies. He has travelled across all the continents and writes frequently on all aspects of Information Technology addressing a wide range of audience that includes students, educators, researchers, policy makers and the general public. He is also a source of inspiration to hundreds of his former students spread throughout the world. He is considered one of the authorities on IT in India - in all its aspects. He is a Fulbright Fellow, Member of the ACM, IEEE - Computer Society and AIS. |

Professor Ramani's research has ranged from computer communication, artificial intelligence, technology for education, and networking the paper world. He earned his master's and doctoral degrees at IIT, Bombay, and has worked as a post-doctoral research associate at CMU. He started his career with TIFR, Mumbai, and then went on to be the first director of the National Center for Software Technology, Mumbai.
Later, in 2001, he played a key role in setting up the HP Labs India, as its first director. Prof. Ramani has served as President of the International Council for Computer Communication, and of the Computer Society of India (CSI). He has also served on the Expert Panel advising the ICT Task Force of the UN. Prof. Ramani is a Fellow of the CSI and a Fellow of the National Academy of Engineering. |
Dr. K R V “Raja” Subramanian founded Radix Learning along with a team of professionals who share a passion for creating innovative & effective learning solutions and services. Prior to Radix Learning, Dr. Subramanian co-founded Ascendum Systems (www.ascendum.com) in March 2000. Before that, Dr. Subramanian served as Professor of Computer Science and Dean of Distance Learning at the prestigious Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) in Pilani, India - considered one of the top 5 universities for higher learning in India. During his tenure as Dean, the distance learning programs grew multifold in terms of revenue, number of degree programs, student enrolment, etc. He conceptualized and initiated the BITS Virtual University—one of the first of its kind in India at that time.
Dr. Subramanian has to his credit, a unique blend of academic and corporate experience where he has led from the front for over 28 years. His interests on the technical side include diverse areas such as software engineering, object technology, software architecture, instructional design, and eLearning. He has also served as Director and Secretary in the prestigious International Board of Standards for Training, Performance & Instruction ( www.ibstpi.org). Dr. Subramanian holds a Master’s Degree in Economics, a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science. |
